90% of the people who are in this thread insulting Floyd are happy this fight was made just so they could return to arguing about Floyd Mayweather. Just like 90% of the people happy it was made are actually happy so they can make a thousand TBE threads again.

Fans wanted him to fight Amir Khan when he made a poll prior to the first Maidana, he fought Maidana twice then Pac(after ducking for years), then cherrypicked Andre BUMto. No Amir Khan.

Now he said fans want him fight a MMA fighter in a boxing match.

Actually Floyd, you were the one who first mentioned fighting McGregor cause you saw dollar signs , and I don't blame you but I don't recall many boxing fans clamoring for a floyd/Mcgroegor fight like we do for a Spence/Crawford, GGG/Canelo fights.

Point 1: McGregor IS a hell of a competitor. Just not in boxing.
Point 2: I prefer Mayweather giving props to others than Manny's "if he stood still I could hit him doe!"

Floyd is right, as usual, that people wanted this and are willing to pay good money to watch Floyd patiently dodge and deflect Connor's punches and land a punch or two whenever he decides to for 12 rounds.

One thing about Floyd. If he knows his opponent is easy to time, he'll go after them. Look at how he fought Canelo vs. how he fought Maidana. Size-wise Canelo was the bigger threat.

Something tells me Floyd is going to try to pull off another Gatti performance especially if McGregor looks nervous in there or sloppy.

Think about it - if he straight up paints McGregor to a stoppage, it'll have erased this notion that he went out on a bad performance, he'll make headlines all over the place, he'll make multi millions...there's no downside.
