Hey Ill buy it but most people don't know it exists. Duva can't blame MayMac either, the first fight was terribly promoted, and this one even worse up until the moment Maymac was announced.

Can't blame Mayweather for the fact Duva sucks..

          Are controversy....?

          Excellent question!
Gotta admit I bought many fights, which included UFC, based on perceived hate and animosity between the 2 fighters. Real or not. And I'm absolutely convinced that that kind of promotion plays a large role in getting peoples' butts on seats.
Then bam, it turned out to be like watching paint dry, borring. But the damage has been done, pockets emptied, people behind the business made some money.
          The next cycle begins...

But in this case, I'm not so sure.

no cause they did it all wrong, its like the most awkward ass animosty ever.

"DONT POINT AT ME, WE NOT GONNA DO THAT!"

lmfao. that basically the most intense thing that has been said this entire fight.

sadly no. these guys are horribly promoted. it costs money to have your promoters promote you like a world wide superstar. you do it before you are that world wide superstar, and eventually the casual fans of the world begin to see you as one.

yeah, andre ward lacks the personality out of the ring and the eye catching athleticism and skill in the ring that floyd mayweather had, but he can still be marketed as if he is becoming the next big thing. he may become the next best thing without even being big. i thonk ward is starting to show his age a bit, but he's still got his marbles and he's got tons of experience, more than anybody around his weight class. if he's able to beat kovalev convincingly he's arguably back on top of the p4p list [i currently think lomachenko is a better fighter, but saturday may change that.] that means you have an american on top p4p again, and there's a huge potential for income there.

these guys both need better promotion. kovalev is much less marketable because he's russian, but he's still a puncher and could use more of a push. he's made solid purses, but for a guy who arguably won the last fight he is making short money.

the fighters do make big purses, i'll give them that. but these fights could be bigger. the networks could be amking more. and the venues. adn then they'd fear you!

I don't know anybody who was on the fence about ordering a ppv then watched a press conference that sealed the deal to go ahead and buy it.

Truth is, it's hard to promote this fight. Not one of them is marketable.
Ward for one has no clear direction in terms of his future in the sport. Nobody knows if this is his last fight or not.
In contrast, fans see other fighters being paired with the next top fighter in the division after their current one.
Spence/Brook winner, as an example, is seen as being matched with Thurman or other top fighters. Others like Lara and Rigo promote their fights by mentioning Golovkin and Loma respectively.

                  This fight doesn't have that.

Perhaps the best way to promote this fight would have been to tell fans that the fight would lead to a Stevenson fight for the winner.

If you could only get two fights out of three which two would you pick?

If it's not the C vs GGG and Ward vs KOV then we know all about YO Ass !!!

Conor and the clown show is after yo money. It's a wipe out unless Conor knees him to the nuts puts him on the floor and chokes him til clownshow's goons come drag him off
