Ward would stop Kovalev in the rematch, but it won't really matter because people will make lame excuses on why Ward stopped him (i.e. holding, ref cheated) and then immediately start talking about Stevenson and Beterbiev

1. Kovalev says he trained himself heading into the rematch
2. Kovalev was getting conditioning advice over the phone
3. The controversy with Jackson
4. Kovalev only got paid a percentage heading into this fight
5. Kovalev said he didn't have to train as hard for this fight as previously
6. Kovalev said he was deflated after the 4th round (from body punches IMO), in the first fight

I though Ward had him figured out midway thru the first one.

I saw Ward hurt him in that first fight, especially to the body.

I thought that for the next one, it wouldn't start from round 1 for Ward but round 13.

I felt Kovalev couldn't take 12 full rounds of bullying and body shots.
