In pure combat terms you couldn't have a more lopsided matchup. Floyd Mayweather is the greatest distance controller aka had / has the best footwork in the history of boxing. That's his core secret. He's basically a human mongoose. Nobody is quicker, more coordinated or more elusive on their feet.

And even at 40 he's still about 80% there when needed.

This is what made the Marquez fight, the Baldomir fight, the Pacquiao fight, ect, ect, so anticlimactic / unwatchable. Floyd will exploit his mobility advantage to the extreme.

Conor McGregor doesn't even know the basic dance steps and proper fundamentals of how to move in the ring as a boxer.

    He's slow AF waist down.

That's why I'm not interested. McGregor is going to look like a man drowning inside a kiddie pool. Hopefully Floyd will knock him out because McGregor isn't going to be able to feel his legs after five or six rounds and he may quit or his corner will throw the towel.. I'm expecting a backlash of epic proportions in the aftermath if this plays out the way I think it will.. If they're dumb enough to believe McGregor has any chance they are not going to like this..

If hes about to get KO'd maybe his pride kicks in and it becomes a mma match, which then all hell breaks loose from both corners and maybe then the people who bought this will feel some satisfaction.

this fight makes no sense, floyd even at 40 (is he 40 already?) won't break a sweat fighting this guy and will school him for 12 rounds.

True MMA hardcores LOVE THIS SHHT and we mostly just want to SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

The roots of our sport is "How would a Karate guy do against a Boxer?"... "How would a Jiu Jitsu guy do against a Wrestler?"... etc. Now, this match-up is strictly Boxing, but the underlying draw is still that *Style-vs-Style* curiosity.

Even if Mayweather just out-classes McGregor, as expected... I WANT TO SEE IT, not just imagine it, not just hypothesis, not just spew-out analytical babble.

Hope McGregor wins. I've had a strong intuition for months that he would, despite how little of a chance he has on paper. It just seems fated to happen.

MMA. The original, underlying appeal of the sport of MMA is what I'm talking about (not Boxing, if that's what you thought I meant).
