I thought the WBA ordered a rematch between Ryota Murata and Hassan N'Dam? The obvious choice should be Lemieux, but Rob Brant would be a decent "Plan B" if Lemieux doesn't want the fight. I believe Murata was WBO #1, Lemieux #2, and Brant #3.

It would not be surprising if Murata managed to fight Saunders next, he had been in discussions with Saunders team until they opted to wait for the Golovkin fight which never came.

If Saunders fights any of the guys ranked 2,3 or 4 or Jacobs, it will be the toughest fight of his career. Any of those guys would be worthy opponents but it does seem strange to immediately dismiss an opponent before the WBO has even made a ruling on Khurtsidze. I fear that we will see him choose another overmatched opponent like Liam Smith or Tommy Langford or worse.
