I dont think it would hurt the Canelo-GGG buys at all, and might even help them.
After Floyd slaps Conner around for 12 rounds and stinks out the place, GBP can market Canelo-GGG as a REAL fight, and not an exhibition match like they just wasted their money on.......Comment

Those of us with accounts on this site that are actual fans (and not just here to hate) realize that Canelo's best chance to win is to box and move and try and neutralize GGG's power by scoring with the jab and preventing return shots in key spots.
With Canelo/Chavez, many (not necessarily you) allowed themselves to be fooled into believing the fight would be a war simply because the two combatants were of Mexican heritage rather than look at how each had fought throughout their career.
I think the same thing applies with Canelo/GGG. Looking at how both fight, this looks more like a controlled chess match not a "mexican style" all action, Vazquez/Marquez style fight that HBO and ODH are marketingComment

I figured this fight would happen around November or so and not too close in date to other PPV's like Canelo-Golovkin.
But if it happens in August, it happens in August.
Cool, more light and news on this to come in the next few days and weeks.Comment

Maybe GBP should move the Cotto-Kamegai date to August 12th, 19th or September 2nd.Comment

The fight should be in November, August is too early! To produce a decent WORLD WIDE press tour, and then for the fighters to have proper training camps! (To be honest....I am more interested in Canelo vs Golovkin, not really bothered if Mayweather vs Mcgregor happens!)...Comment
