Comments Thread For: McGregor's Coach Would Like Mayweather Bout To Happen at 152

CONOR MCGREGOR's proposed boxing match with former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather is currently the talk of the combat sports world. McGregor took a giant step towards landing a lucrative boxing match with the Michigan native last month by convincing the UFC brass to allow him to enter the squared circle.

Just a week ago they were saying he could make 147 no problem. Have to wonder if the worry is setting in. Personal opinion, but I think Conor gets embarrassed either way. Weight drained at 147 would just be worse.

I don't think Floyd would have a problem with that, he don't want have to work to make 147 anyways, he has been out awhile 152-155 probably good for him now.

Mcgregor walks around at like 190. If Jacobs giving Golovkin all he can handle makes Jacobs a super heavy, what does that make Mcgregor? Like 280 at least I'd imagine.

Floyd can let Connor come in at 160 and the outcome wont be any different, but this is Floyd the master of sucking every bit of advantage he can out of his opponent, even when its not needed. Floyd wont agree to anything above 147. Id be suprised if he does.

It should be at 155. Floyd's sport, Mcgregor's weight class. Simple. Not that complicated.

And pro tip to these dumbass trainer: "We'll do whatever you want, but I hope you'll accept my demand, which is no demand at all because I just said we'll do whatever you want regardless," is not a good negotiation tactic.

I doubt it unless Floyd is having weight issues and he himself needs to go up a few lbs. Other then that Floyd is not giving away any weight advantage and McGregor will fight at any weight he tells him to. Probably 147 that was Floyd most comfortable weight before he retired. And the McGregor camp already said they could make 147.

Floyd fought Cotto at 154... fight should be at 155 really. I mean Floyd is such prima donna - can't even concede the weight to make the match up more interesting - even needs to drain a guy with no professional boxing matches lol

That being said - If Floyd beats Conor - he would have beaten an opponent who is better than GGG's entire resume apart from Jacobs...

Much props to Floyd for taking a risky fight here.
