Manny could've fought Floyd right before he went to jail. manny was still prime. Bob said he was ready to go in May. Soon as Floyd got the extension so he could fight in May, Manny suddenly wasn't ready and was out until June and needed all these stitches.

What I want to know is how you can possibly vote that Mayweather is the biggest cherry picker IN BOXING HISTORY. That is, in the entire history of the sport. Really?

And just an example to show, at least to me, how misinformed that sentiment is, I want to ask if you are aware of the first negotiations for the Pacquaio fight. The one in which there seems to be clear evidence that Mayweather signed a 50/50 contract for the fight. The one in which the contract he signed was so detailed that it discussed who walks out first and whose name goes on the posters first, or something like that. The negotiation in which Freddie Roach went on record saying Pacquaio's team should take the blame.

Isn't that proof that Mayweather gave an honest effort to fight a prime Pacquaio?

Them there were about ten excuses that followed in order to avoid the fight. Remmeber all of the boxers, athletes and writers who pressured Floyd to makw the damn fight alrwady? Then, the smoking gun of all time, where Floyd admits he let the fight marinate, which is an admission of his waiting Manny out until he wasn't at his best.

The eight-page agreement is so detailed that it indicates which of the two fighters would step onto the scale first at the weigh-in (Pacquiao), who would walk to the ring first (Pacquiao), who would be introduced first (Mayweather) and who had first choice of the locker room (Mayweather).

Dempsey fought in an era where those fights were dufficult to make. He never ducked Wills and likely would have beaten him. He avoided Langford at the start of his career which he admits because he was still a journeyman at that point. When you see what Willard did to Johnson, Dempsey would have inflicted far worse punishment.
