Mayweather the biggest cherry picker in boxing

The cherry-picking and ducking started early in his career. He found a way to avoid southpaw Stevie Johnston, prime Mosley, Freitas, and Casamayor. He often used opponents losses and claims of poor opposition to avoid them, yet had no problem fighting Judah coming off a loss to Baldomir and then fighting Baldomir with his 9 losses.
He "retired" so he wouldn't have to rematch DLH, and he had prime Pac, Mosley, Cotto, Margarito and Paul Williams waiting for him. He wanted no part of them and chose to "retire" and let them soften one another up until it was safe to come back against a much smaller urine-guzzling Marquez. Came up two weight classes and Floyd never bothered to make the weight for a catch weight he demanded (now contrast the criticism GGG receives for fighting a large WW who came up two weight classes--hypocrisy much?).
He waited out Cotto, Mosley and Pac until they were past their prime and certainly not their best. He turned down challenges from Martinez and GGG who offered to come down to 154 to fight him. He called out Winky Wright, and when Winky called his bluff, Floyd ran the other way. He openly admits now that he "marinated" the fight with Pac, which is Floyd-speak for ducking and waiting for him to lose a step.
No other fighter has ducked this many prime opponents in their career and managed to be this successful.

Didn't he retire because of his hand injuries?
Are you sure about Cotto? Didn't Manny refuse to fight in 09 over drug testing?

Didn't Mosely say he was going on vacation/toothache after Vargas 2 when they asked him about Floyd? The same thing Floyd pimped when they asked him about Cotto, Margarito, and Shane, Pac, Williams, etc. etc. etc. Vacation/hand injuries.
Nobody really talks too much about how he bailed out on Winky Wright, but something had to happen for him to last minute try to ask for more money and the fight got scrapped. Floyd has a history of wrangling his way out of deals/fights.

Manny refused the initial drug test because of how it was handled from the get go. You don't make public accusations and expect their won't be a lawsuit. Floyd was sued and settled out of court. Once that was settled Manny agreed to testing...Floyd moved the goal post and found another excuse to duck.
Hand injuries? You mean the ones he was using illegal injections to fight with? Those hand injuries? Or are those "false accusations' that are unfounded? Sound familiar?

The tooth ache was merely Mosley asking for an additional month or two of recovery to sign the fight, Floyd used that against him and wouldn't allow the postponement.

Omitting facts. Blaming Floyd for decisions made by adults. Elevating guys because they didn't fight Floyd. Claiming legal injection are illegal.
This kind of hate is irrational.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 06-13-2017, 10:58 AM.

most his "welterweight" opponents are guys who were never career welters....Bradley, JMM, Vargas, Algieri, Rios....
Mosley was 1-1-1 hadnt won a fight in years
Margo was coming off a stoppage loss to mosley, beat a no name then fights for the 154 title at 150 and neither guy was even ranked or done anything at 154
cherrypicked JMM twice, shouldve lost fight 3 and got KTFO figuring he was long in the tooth and ripe for the picking
sorry bro....thread is a major fail

Yes, boxing media and fans don't talk much about that. Maybe that is because Winky has a history of having fights not happen because of purse related issues and-I know this is foreign concept to you-perhaps it was actually Winky's fault the fight didn't happen.

I didn't omit any facts or make anything up. Mosley only asked for more time to recover from oral surgery for a loose tooth from a prior fight.
This is exactly why Manny didn't disclose his shoulder injury and ask for an extension. It took an act of God to get that fight made and after all the chasing he did, he wasn't going to risk losing that fight by asking for more recovery time and have fans such as yourself accuse him of ducking. Instead, he went in and fought with one arm for 8 rounds. Floyd still couldn't finish him. Imagine prime Pac with two hands, Floyd wanted none of that!
