I don't understand why so many people dislike Andre Ward?

He comes across as a really nice & humble guy yet it seems a lot of people have a real hatred for him. Also, the guy has an extremely high boxing IQ. There's almost no other fighter outside of maybe a Mayweather & a few others that could have come back from the almost one-sidedness of the first half of the first Kovalev fight. I know a lot thought Ward lost but whether you did or not it was an extremely close fight that really either side only won by 1 point. But what exactly is it that people dislike about him so much?

2) Butthurt fans of Froch(UK)....Kessler(Danish)....Abraham(Germany).. ..Kovalev(Russia)...........what do you know, all four come from areas where boxing is huge with loyal fans

3) Many thought Pac, Matthyssee, or GGG would have a legit claim to p4p #1 but since they dont, they just criticize their rivals or potential threats

Look at the people who are hating him. They're all Golovkin fans, they're holding a grudge because Ward called Golovkin out on his bullshit.

^^^^butthurt GGG fans.....he picking on GGG doe.....yet moves up and fights a bigger threat all the while GGG fought a friggin welterweight and a guy on house arrest.

they want Ward to lose so they can be like"told you Ward wasnt that good, if he can do that to him, imagine what GGG would have....."

It's a combination of his smug face, attitude, and style. He does NOT come off as humble at all. Plus he's always subliminally crying about the "racism" he faces in boxing which is incredibly annoying. He usually does it when a black reporter interviews him, especially Fighthype.

If i find a fighter boring, im not wasting my time watching or posting about him....if you dont like him....why care?

Ward may be a winner but his style isnt for tv let alone ppv.

ward is a good guy. People have been mad at him since he tried to get out of his contract with goosen. And then had injuries. They're mad he wasn't fighting, which is strange because when he does fight, all they do is complain. Most of his team - hunter, j prince, roc - are creepy, weird dudes but ward himself is cool.

But let's face it. Every single elite fighter is hated on this site. I mean, how the fack does anyone hate golovkin or pacquiao?

I really dislike him cuz of his boring azz style. I dont wanna hear about him being this crazy skilled boxer, i dont buy it.

Whether you like Ward or not comments on racism here are inappropriate. Everyone is this country is afforded the opportunity to get ahead. Just have to work hard and not expect it to be handed to you. Ward has worked at his craft and he deserves the success he has gained in the sport. Has nothing to do with whether he's black, white, yellow or whatever.
