Recognition as one of the best and putting on a show are not synonymous. Gatti put on a show but was never considered on of the best. All he said was he had to focus on winning not putting on a show. Last I checked you get recognized for winning.

Ward can't worry about pleasing the crowd. Andre's a defensive fighter who doesn't take chances. That's his style and he's undefeated with it.
There aren't too many fighters who have the ability to win and put on a show. Fighters like Morales, Barrera, Pacquiao and Golovkin are crowd pleasers because they're willing to take chances and let their hands go.

Ward is a terrific fighter, but is absolutely terrible at promoting himself or his fights.

And he shouldn't. He's an ex 168 lber moving UP in weight against someone who spent their entire CAREER at 175. 2-3 fights doesn't make you a true LHW.
