    Canelo
(and GGG as his arch nemesis)

Joshua has tons of social media followers -- probably more for his roid cartoon character physique than for boxing. It isn't because he beat Wlad... Wlad was already coming off a loss.

Kovalev, Ward, Lomachenko are probably the best 3 fighters in the world but the public has never embraced them as superstars.

      It's still Mayweather

Ask 100 random people to name 1 boxer and most will name Mayweather

The guy has over 15 million Instagram followers. Even the guys in his stable have a bigger social media presence then 99% of boxers. G DAvis has almost 500k even j'leon love has over 125k

Canelo hasn't broken through partially because he doesn't speak English and also because his competition level the last 2 years is a f.ucking disgrace

Joshua hasn't been around long enough and only has 1 fight, Not known in North America

GGG - only known to hardcore fans and basicalky beat up on nobodies

Manny - popularity slipped because of recent loses and his bat sh.it crazy views

The rest are national or regional stars and fght now no one has the personality to grab the casual fans attention.

Everyone get off lomachenko **** he's a minimumweight since when did people care about that division. If he goes up 2-3 weight classes I'll watch a fight

Face of boxing right now in the uk at least is AJ as he's known to all the public. He's crossed over he's a public persosnlity first boxer second

I think globally it's still mayweather and manny.

To actual fans - it's GGG Canelo ward and kovalev right now but I don't think these guys are exactly famous outside boxing circles. In the uk the only boxer who wud shut down a club wud be AJ

Depends where your from. In Europe it's AJ easily. I'm not sure about America but I would probably go with pacquaio. Not as relevant to boxing fans these days but still well known around the world. Another couple of wins and AJ will be the face of boxing worldwide.

            lol at that list!

It's clearly AJ, although Pac is still active. None of the others are anywhere near as popular on a global level.

The Heavyweight Champion is equivalent to the 100m sprint Champion in track and field athletics (These MEN are always the face of their sport! Even when Floyd Mayweather claimed he was the face of boxing, he was not! The Heavyweight title is still arguable one of the greatest individual titles any man can hold in sport!)...

So yes the face of boxing currently right now is Anthony Joshua!

Does anyone really know AJ outside of Great Britain.
The Klitschko fight certainly helped boost his popularity. Where exactly is Kov's fan base?

                Canelo

Loma appears to be on the cusp of breaking through. His style is fan friendly and he has an appealing personality.

Joshua is a nobody outside of UK

asians and americans and a big chunk of Europe dont even know who he is

brits need to get their heads out of their asses

just because every brit is ****riding Joshua, doesnt mean everybody in the world is doing it too

Pacquiao, Canelo, even Cotto are way more popular worldwide

Nobody really. Young fighters are still fighting to take that spot though.

When somebody says the face of Boxing, that fighter should be recognized by everybody.

Boxing doesn't have a real star at the moment.

I agree with the one saying that actually, even retired, Mayweather is still the face of boxing.
