just because every brit is ****riding Joshua, doesnt mean everybody in the world is doing it too

Pacquiao, Canelo, even Cotto are way more popular worldwide
Anthony Joshua's last fight was broadcast live in over 146 countries! The heavyweight champion has always traditionally been the face of boxing, it was only really during Wladimir Kiltschko's reign could people claim otherwise (But i even disagree with that!) The heavyweight division is the premier event in boxing, always has been and always will be! (These are the facts that you need to deal with and understand!)...

I dont consider Cotto or Pacman active anymore ... so Canelo is the bigger name now not couting May, Pac or Cotto...

Definitely Canelo or AJ, maaaaybe Pac but that star is fading pretty fast.

Can't see much of an argument for anyone else.

You're missing some names on that poll.

              Anthony Joshua, Ward, Crawford

I live in the U.S. and myself and others for damn sure know who Anthony Joshua is, the dude is badass!

I would say right now Canelo, but Anthony Joshua is building up momentum. Who knows which of these two is more popular in a year or so. But right now I would say Canelo is and Joshua is not too far behind him.

Winner of GGG vs canelo i voted GGG though because hes the most talked about fighter. Even his haters cant help but make atleast 1 thread a day about him.

Is cotto really famous in America or somehing? He's been mentioned a few times here but only the most hardcore of boxing fans in Europe would even know the name let alone recognise him. Was he on dancing with the stars or whatever it's called or something like that? Lol

Ward and Crawford are great boxers and are well known amongst boxing fans but I wouldn't say they have all that much mainstream recognition. They, like Kovalev and Lomachenko, don't make sense in this poll.

AJ on the other hand is very well known right now outside of boxing circles, especially in Europe.

Canelo and GGG will both achieve more recognition as the buildup towards their fight continues. I wouldn't put GGG in the same tier of popularity as AJ or Canelo yet but that may very well change before the end of the year. We'll just have to see.

I'm just going by the poll TS setup.

How much more popular is Kovalev than Ward?

And how popular is Lomachenko? So just by the names he's listed I threw out comparable names since he didn't list them.

Triple G is popular but Canelo is obviously the most popular on his list.

Joshua for sure is very popular, definitely more than Triple G on a world wide scale.

As someone mentioned though, if Mayweather fights McGregor this year, Mayweather for sure hands down would be the face still.

But I'm thinking TS is referring to the new age boxing stars that have a long future.

In that scenario I say Canelo and Joshua.
