WBC lightweight champion Mikey Garcia (36-0, 30 KOs) is already working hard for his highly anticipated fight with four division world champion Adrien "The Problem" Broner (33-2, 24 KOs). The fight takes place at the junior welterweight limit of 140-pounds, on July 29. The venue has yet to be finalized, but Las Vegas and New York City are said to be the frontrunners.

I'm not sure Broner makes it to July 29th without a visit to jail or something.

I like this fight and I favor Garcia over Broner. Broner is no pushover but Garcia seems to have more in the tank right now and definitely more skilled overall. If he can carry his power up to 140 I see him earning Broner's respect and beating him probably by decision.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned one thing that could play a big role in the fight. Broner has has gone late in fights, to the distance a number of times and Mikey has not had a fight in years that has gone over a few rounds. That could make a difference.....we do know that Broner has dropped fighters late in fights so stamina is not an issue.

If Broner is able to make the weight for the fight, then it will be a close contest. Broner has fought at WW a couple of times so Garcia can't overwhelm or scare him with his power.

I wish these guys would brag about something besides their power. Defense, or movement, or what they see in the other guy. Many couldn't take what they dish out. Broner isn't helpless, he's been in with bigger men, he has power too. I'd say Broner has been in with a better class of fighter, but he looks like he's slipping. He may have looked bad with Granados, because he was careless with his training. You never know.

Being born bigger doesnt give you a better chin. The effect extra weight has on your durability is highly exaggerated. Broner is going to get hurt. Difference is, Garcia knows how to finish.
