I doubt he ever was on steroids. He scores fewer KOs because he is fighting better boxers. Steroids are given way too much credit. They might make a boxer a little stronger or faster but only by a small amount. Steroids can't make a better than average boxer into a world beater. Jack Dempsey at 188 pounds and Joe Louis at 200 pounds were punching with tremendous speed and power at a time when steroids didn't exist. They knocked out giants with ease.
