The 'Back' Ward fans are going to be leaving the room next weekend, won't be able to handle seeing their hero punished. Obviously things could flip, but I'll stick with the current narrative. I hadn't seen Kovalev fade like I did in the Chilemba and 'Back' Ward fights, so I will assume he and his people are right, he did over-train. I did that a couple times for track meets when I was in high school. Had nothing left for the event.

The litmus test will be a week from today, and the potential for fireworks is huge. Can't wait.

I don't think it's that simple, he had Ward. Most boxers would have jumped on him after he was down. I believe Kov knows if he tries that and he doesn't finish Ward, Ward will finish him. It's a gas tank issue, which is his Achilles heel. Explosive power puncher with a 12 ounce gas tank.
