Comments Thread For: Marco Antonio Barrera Views Hamed as Biggest Career Win

This Sunday, former world champion champion Marco Antonio Barrera of Mexico will pass from greatness to immortality. 'The Baby-Faced Assassin' will be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota, New York. "It's like the nobel prize of the sport; It is the biggest award there [in boxing]. Not just anyone can get there," Barrera, 44-years-old, told Albert Perez. "There are thousands of boxers and very few who have come to occupy a space here in Canastota."

I met Marco at Mandalay Bay in 2008 and I was so impressed, he was so accommodating one of my favorite Mexican fighter.

I remember at the time being very surprised how well Barrera did in that fight.

Hamed had all the shine back then. I don't think many people thought Barrera could win.

I would certainly agree. He was such a great fighter and fighters like him are greatly missed today.

Great fight and great win. Traditional fighter vs unorthodox fighter.

He was lucky Naz didn't train properly for that fight.

He turned Naz into a 1 trick pony that night his daddy couldn't fix the fight either. That's why also think he told Naz who's your daddy in other words your daddy can't save you right now. That was awesome when he put nas in a half Nelson and put his face into the turnbuckle ala wwe style.
