Why not? Don't fans want all fighters to be available to any promoter? Isn't that the crux of all the problems why certain fights are not getting made?
If they're all free agents what's there to talk about when it comes to making fights?

      That would be Al Haymon.

Arum and Oscar will want options from Mikey in order to fight their top fighters. There's a reason the Linares fight wasn't made next and there's no way Arum will let Mikey fight Loma or Crawford without getting something out of Mikey. Arum and Oscar are only open to making fights with other promoters and not asking for options when they know their fighter will win.

If it gets him and the fans better fights then more power to him. If he decides to use it as an opportunity to cherry-pick, it may hurt him down the line. So far it seems he is heading in the right direction by getting a fight with Broner.

Promoters like to keep things "in house". I think Garcia may find himself on the outside looking in. No way he gets a fight with an Arum fighter. Maybe Haymon is trying to lure him with the Broner fight. For some reason, I thought Garcia was affiliated with Richard Schaeffer.

How is it cherry picking for him when he's a free agent and not cherry picking for other fighters who aren't to fight certain fighters because of their promoter? Why is Manny or Bradley not fighting PBC fighters? Why is Loma only taking on fighters Top Rank fighters or fighters from small promotional companies?

Relax, I said "if" he uses it as a method of cherry picking. Do you ecen bother to read the entire post before you go on your Top Rank rant?

ON paper it sounds very good, but there is no way, an uneducater fighter(an I say it in the nicest possible way)has any chance against promoters..They've been doing it for years anhave a lot of money backing them.If someone says here he won against top rank,we can further discuss.

I think he can be very successful with Haymon alone. He's already a champion, and if he beats Broner, he'll be in high demand!

Smart move Mikey. Maybe you can be the trendsetter for how fights are negotiated and fighters getting paid properly with your free agent stance. Mikey has a clue how this thing works.
