what really was wards 'prime'. He nearly lost to froch, people forget that, he won by one round. Dawson was never much good (pascal beat him ffs and stevenson took him out in a round) and kessler was damaged goods after calzaghe played with him. His CV and skills are incredibly overrated.

The truth is, Ward has to make more adjustments in the rematch than Kovalev. Ward was seen as the far superior boxer and that wasn't the case in the first fight. He was outboxed for the first half of the fight and got dropped and ****** up.
All Kov needs to do is work on his stamina. He can beat Ward with the same game plan he had in the first fight. I don't see Ward beating Kovalev if he comes in with the same game plan he had.

Ward only made one clear mistake, obviously round two. He was able to adjust for the remaining 10 rounds and had a bit of momentum toward the end of the fight.
It seems more reasonable that Ward will be able to avoid getting hurt early than Kov, a guy who relies on power, becoming a cardio machine.
Another thing to consider;how will Kov respond mentally if he isn't able to hurt Ward early? Will the memories of the controversial decision begin to effect him?
Cant wait to see how things play out in the rematch!
