Lol like he had to say it out loud publically. GGG was the no.1 contender to the crown and his manager said that they would not be fighting GGG. End of story. Gennady was avoided.

He can't beat a top 168 lb fighter...i don't even think he beat Jacobs actually. It doesn't matter, he won't move up, all of that 154-168 was a boldfaced lie. Ward? 164. Froch? 166. Brook asked for 157 first...nope. Canelo has said 155, but for his biggest payday he wouldn't agree. Even though 154-168 doe. Just keep worshipping that bum beater with 1 respectable win that wasn't even convincing.
You didn't explain why you don't like Gennady.

Just give the real, legit reason. He makes exciting fights and tries to fight the best all while trying to unify one of boxing's most prestigious divisions.

What's not to like? Are you sore he beat a fighter you like or something?

Nah, there's no way to know for sure. Ledderman isn't that great and it was a disputed win for a reason.

As he prepares to officially start training camp in Madrid, Sergio Martinez is fully focused on his June 7 fight against Miguel Cotto. The WBC middleweight champion won’t even talk about how many times he intends to fight after facing Cotto at Madison Square Garden. But if the Argentine southpaw’s injury-ravaged body holds up and he conquers Cotto in their HBO Pay-Per-View main event, don’t count on the 39-year-old Martinez embracing a showdown with Gennady Golovkin in his following fight.

“Golovkin still has to catch up territory-wise,” Martinez said during the recently completed press tour for the Martinez-Cotto fight. “We earned the spot. Obviously, Golovkin is working his way there, but he still has to work a little more to get to our level. It looks like he’s going to get there, but he’s not there yet.”

Well, out of so many future HOFers, it's so hard to pick just 1 lol.

No, I simply don't like fighters that HBO tries to shove down our throats and then turns out to be a nothing fighter. Beating 1 b level fighter doesn't cut it for me. He took out geale, and then a 153 lb cotto did the same 1 rd later, and looked better in doing so.

The guy is a super hyped up fight that is a product of HBO marketing...no more, no less. He's not a hof fighter, certainly not an atg. That would be ok if, like many, much better fighters, he would've had to prove himself, but he didn't. He beat guys previously ko'd by Martinez or someone else, and the rest of a resume at C level fighters.

Dude was a gimp when he said that and then lost to Cotto. But the best version of Martinez is better than Golovkin...

That WW's career at the top is over as a result of taking that fight. How is that exposing GGG exactly?

Dream on. You're just a hater, deal with that.

'They' (his team) publically ducked the fight. It was a known thing at the time. Maybe Sergio would not have strayed away from the fight but who knows.

                    Live with it.

Sergio fought Cotto instead. It's well known that he wanted no part of prime GGG. His team saved him from a brutal KO and got one anyways.

He was ducked and nothing you will say or go back, find and post will erase actual history.

Golovkins team never tried to make the fight. How can you duck someone that didn't want the fight?

You could say Golovkin ducked. Martinez was the champ, Golovkin should have been targeting him but wasn't.
