He is talking the truth, everybody can moan and say he was robbed. Kovalev is big and old enough to know to go the distance in a close fight you could lose.
I thought Kovalev won but he didnt look great at the end. So it left it open to interpretation. Ward was super negative as usual, a leaping jab, and slipping off to the side and the odd left hook here and there. Where the hell is he's right hand? But it wasn't a great fight. Hope this one is much better.
I had the score the same as the judges. Without the knockdown, ward wins it 115-113. Clearly it wasn't a robbery like ward is saying. Those who cry robbery clearly are the ones who have no business with a scorecard. Like Virgil hunter says, I challenge anyone to watch that fight with me and show me where there was a robbery. Explain to me how you gave Kovalev rounds three or five. I agree that round four could have gone either way. But what did Kovalev do, and ward not do for you to give those early rounds in particular to Kovalev???? Legit question.
