More over, what if Gennady had fought Saunders, he'd already be undisputed with all the straps. Where would Alvarez go? He'd have to fight GGG no matter what or else staying at 160 fighting anything less than the Undisputed wouldn't make sense considering the pressure and fame. Why skip out on a $10 million fight for a $2 million fight when that belt isn't going anywhere? Not just that, but if he beats Canelo he becomes more popular and can make that final unification a bigger fight financially.
