Fact is manny is almost 39. He has every boxing accolade was boxer of the decade, hell hes champ now, he is in the business of cashing out.

If manny can make as much for fighting jeff horn in Australia, than he can make fighting Spence here, what's the point of fighting Spence. It's not like he lives here and has to look loyal boxing fans in the face, he is perhaps the most popular Filipino of all time ever! Why risk these young lions when u get the same payday for a pup. Not my wishes just reality

Horn is like 11th in the world per boxrec at welter and is the next in line for the WBO. It's not nearly as insane as people make it out to be.

Mad respect to Errol for not just knowing this, but being able to say it. And he's right. Outside of himself, Terence, and Keith, Manny would be favored to beat every other guy out there from 140 to 147.
Interesting how the same posters who trash a 40 year old, beltless Floyd for not fighting GGG defend a 38 year old WBO champion Manny for fighting bums in his own instead of the other champions in his own weight class.

I've been saying this too. He's still right up there with Thurman and Spence in my opinion. I think he beats Thurman and a fight with Spence would be close.

It's not really his fault that Crawford cant draw **** to flies and the fight isnt bigger yet. Him vs Horn sold out quickly, over 30k tix and its his mandatory. Did Danny Garcia want to fight Manny? No. Did Broner want to fight Manny? Not even Thurman or any of the top welters mentioned Manny when he was looking for an opponent, of course Spence had Brook lined up and Thurman was about to face Garcia, and the PBC fighters are extremely inactive anyway.

As far as i am concerned Manny is still the top fighter at 147 and by a huge margin the biggest draw.
I believe the excuse that Crawford "can't draw flies to ****" can stop already:

          May 24, 2017:

Saturday night’s shellacking of Felix Diaz by the hands of Terence Crawford was a ratings hit per Nielsen Media Research. The Madison Square Garden main event averaged 961,000 live viewers, topping at out 1,036,000 viewers. The opening bout of the televised broadcast, between Ray Beltran and Jonathan Maicelo averaged 687,000 viewers, peaking at 723,000.

Crawford’s numbers were good enough to make it HBO’s top-performing premium cable bout of the year, surpassing Vasyl Lomachenko’s April fight against Jason Sosa — a fight that averaged 832,000 viewers.

This number for Crawford represent a 19% increase from his previous HBO appearance last December, when he beat John Molina in a telecast that averaged 806,000 viewers.

Threre's no excuse for not fighting Crawford, and if WWs are too big, I'm sure Crawford (or Mikey Garcia), will be happy to fight him @ 140. If those 2 are too big, then i'm sure Lomachenko (another in-house fighter) would be happy to fight him @ 135!

Are you referring to me as one of those same posters? Because if so I challenge you to find a post where I ever trashed Floyd for not fighting GGG. And for that matter, any of his opposition. I didn't even criticize the Berto fight.

Coming from a Pacquiao fan I can admit that Team Pacquiao just don't want it. The whole "he don't draw" thing is bull****. If they saw Terence as a very winnable fight they'd do it. And I fully believe that Arum is ready to feed Pacquiao to him, because it would catapult Crawford to new heights. But Team Pacquiao knows that a squarely in his prime Terence Crawford is bad, bad news for Manny.

Team Pacquiao knows it, and they're avoiding it, so ole Bob is content to continue milking Manny against gimmick (the gimmick is the gate money in Brisbane), circus side show fights with guys like Jeff Horn.

I agree with this. And it's not my wishes, either. But it is the reality. I think, whether you love or hate Manny, that we'd all like to see him in relevant, big picture fights. I mean either that or call it a career, champ. But, fact is, he IS on the doorstep of 40. And they're now in the business of extending his career to milk it for all it's worth. And tossing him into the lion's den with an in their primes Terence Crawford or Errol Spence, who are f**king beasts, very likely ends his career. And effectively ends the prospect of milking this thing.

It's sad seeing a legend like Pacquiao stoop this low for money grabs, but hey, that's prize fighting. It's a f**king business at the end of the day.

But when everybody who follows the sport see you opting to fight virtual unknowns like jeff horn then you leave the masses with no other option but to no longer take you seriously. At least until further notice.
yeah bradley 3, vargas and horn.... 3 meaningless fights in a row....

I honestly don't have a problem with Manny going down that path to retirement, I just don't like that he's holding a title while he does it. WBO's top 5 WW list is a joke!
