Juan Manuel Marquez vs Scott Harrison almost done

JMM vs Scott Harrison is almost done and will take place in vegas.

WBO featherweight champ Scott "The Real McCoy" Harrison (23-2-2), has been offered a unification fight with WBA/IBF featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez (43-2-1). The bout could take place as soon as May 7th in Las Vegas, and has already been approved by team Marquez. Trainer/manager of Team Marquez, Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain, stated that with this fight, Marquez would finish his contract with Top Rank, although he also stated that he would not stop listening to offers to renew the contract with Top Rank. Beristain also recognizes the great opportunity for his fighter, because of the chance to win a third title and unify the division "The only other belt that would be lacking would only be the WBC, which would not be impossible to dispute for it." Marquez had been working very hard training for his proposed fight against Manny Pacquiao, however when that fight fell through, Beristain ordered him to rest and only dedicate himself to recreational training. "This coming week he will be here in the gym," stated Beristain.

JMM would easily win this fight, Harrison's needs a brilliant coach to stand a chance, his dads got him fighting so wrong.

This is the only big fight left at this weight, after Morales, Barrera and Pacman moving up in weight and in chi has just defended his title so he's out of the question.

We might as well have a unification fight between these two.

Its funny how Harrison can get so many of the big names wanting to fight him but none of the other British fighters can

IMO the top guys at feather know he's an easy nights work.

its a funny one, he just is basivcally a big hard bastard with little boxing capability, he bullies his opponents, cos he is massive at the weight. Ive never seen a world champ lead with so many hooks as he did against polo, rubbish. Marquez will make mincemeat of him. The only one i give him a chance agianst is chi and not much of one at that, be a good fight though as they both would stand toe to toe.

There is some big fights with brits in this year.

              World title fights:

              Wayne McCullough vs Oscar Larios
              Howard Eatman vs Bernard Hopkins
              Ricky Hatton vs Kostya Tszyu
              Maybe: Scott Harrison vs JMM

4 world titles could be coming to britain.

also witter vs N'Dou is definatley on.

Bad matchup for Harrison, though obviously any fight against a world class fighter would see him having major problems

i'm hoping they will broadcast this one on regular HBO
