so does virgil, but if he has a fighter who he feels isnt focused or too hurt to take it in, he has to wake him up first. Otherwise he just wastes his breathe.

hunter is a million times better trainer than abel. abels fighters have no defense, if they have defense before getting with him he takes it away.



Thats just ignorant. Ward never had another trainer, you think he made himself into one of the best fighters of his generation? He was a top amateur since he was a little kid, you think a child can just make himself one of the best in the country without guidance. Grow up to have a skill set like that?




Imo hunters problem is with ward he had 20+ years to mold him into a complete fighter. When he takes over these other fighters halfway (or futher) through their pro career there isnt enough time. Instead of trying to make them the best fighters they can be at that stage he tries to turn them into the same well rounded type of fighter ward is. Which sounds well but often they just lose their identity instead.
