No doubt Alvarez won this fight....Pascal cannot win a fight at the top level throwing so few punches. He is still fund to watch and can hang a bit at this level but should retire.

Being from MTL, Pascal is my favorite local fighter but he should retire, I'd hate to see him in that "one last fight" that really damages your long term health. He has already proved that he is a warrior willing to fight anyone, time to hang it up now!

Can't agree. Of course Alvarez is not a genius. But he has solid defense, stiff jab, good chin and decent speed. I don't see him as a future dominant champ but he clearly deserves a title shot.

Respect to Jean Pascal. He has a strong will and a rock solid chin. But he had no plan going into this fight. He tried to make a brawl, but it wasn't enough. Yes, he caught Alvarez two times but Alvarez definitely knows how to weather the storm.

I like Pascal but he looked like a near-shot fighter tonight. The speed, reflexes and athleticism are a thing of the past. He can take a punch and still has a little bit of crack in that right but its not enough against anything above c-level talent. Alvarez looked solid, not spectacular. I'm sure it was awkward fighting his friend in there. I don't see enough to be overly impressed but if he can avoid Stevenson's lightning left, he may make it interesting. We'll see...
