Hurd is a big guy but slow of hand and doesn't really cut off the ring as well as he should, the thing about Trout is that he didn't look good in his last few fights so if he can come back well, he will win. If Hurd doesn't knock him out he wont win a decision. Either guy gets stopped by Jermell Charlo and Andrade at 154 though.
Easy to tell that you haven't followed Hurd's career. The fact that you think he's a come forward brawler type is proof of that, it means that the only fight of his that you watched is his fight against Harrison.

Hurd is actually a boxer puncher who likes to counter punch. He fought the way he did against Harrison because he knows that Harrison has stamina and chin issues. So he wanted to walk him down and knock him the fuuuck out. The strategy paid off of course but that was actually the opposite of how he usually fights.

If anything one should complement him for his versatility, to be able to switch your style like that and still get the result is nothing short of amazing.

If he does I can see Mell Charlo vs Trout happening to set the world right again.

Why has trout been so inactive? Hasn't fought in over a year and before that fight was out almost another year as well. I like this fight good test for Hurd as Trout is durable and experienced. He's not in his prime and long stretches of inactivity keep me from picking him to win tho.

I like Trout, it was a really great moment when he beat Cotto.

I wonder if Hurd fighting Trout means we might get the Charlo/Lubin fight?

This is an absolute must win for no doubt trout. If he loses this he is nothing more than a mere gatekeeper. No shame in losing to canelo, lara or charlo. Those are elite level talents. Golovkin would also have 3 losses on his record had he fought those 3. However, if trout can't get it done against a paper champ like Hurd then it is a shameful loss and means he is inadequate.

Charlo won clearly the first time. Trout made it a snoozefest. I hope we never see a rematch. Charlo has bigger fish to fry than Trout.

I will complement Hurd for versatility if he is able to display it against an opponent the caliber of Trout. It is easy to dazzle with subpar opposition. Trout is damn good and a test I don't expect Hurd to pass. We will see though.

Jermall hits harder and he barely beat Trout.
