I'm pretty sure the uk ppv numbers will be better than st's. Not as good as when kell fought golovkin, of course. But then, ggg is an international super star, so that's understandable.

Should be pretty obvious why haymon is determined to get boxing on network tv on a regular basis at some point . . .

thurman vs porter and thurman vs danny were both around 3 million also i think.... Even wilder vs washington did around 2.7 million viewers

it's too bad, it was a good fight. The fight just didn't spark enough casual interest. The good thing is, it's not a cause for alarm; showtime is committed to boxing especially in the wake of less pbc on network cable, they're getting fights. Now if these were hbo numbers we'd have reason to worry because they're cutting down on the budget yearly, if you add numbers like this, boxing would have a shorter lifespan on hbo than previously imagined.

great points! But this fight was also on early evening on a holiday weekend... Also spence and brook are not that well known to the showtime audience.... Even frampton vs leo 1 did these same numbers i think and that was on a saturday night 10 pm show.... This fight was ppv in england so im guessing they sold around 300 to 400k ppv's as well

Who cares if people missed out on a good fight, i didn't. I watched it on fb and had a blast. You guys are why fighters price themselves out of fights! I don't give af how much they get paid, as long as i see great fights. I've never heard nba, nfl, or any other sports bragging how much the players get paid or how many views their team gets compared to the other teams.

in the uk this fight was ppv... Eddie hearn said he expects to sell 300 to 400 k ppv's.... Spence vs brook isnt a big enough fight for cbs.... Now thurman vs spence that might be on cbs or nbc or fox

it was a great fight... Brooks eye closed because spence broke his face again..... Brook has always lacked heart against the elite and he showed it once again... Spence beat the fight out of him.... Wayyyy better fight than canelo vs smith or canelo vs khan or canelo vs chavez which were all ppv scams... That is my point.....
