Stevenson at it again, you can't make this stuff up. Ducked every half decent fighter in the weight division and then instead of fighting the guy who puts one of his ex challengers to sleep, he ducks him and goes back for a second fight against someone he can't lose to. The guy should just get back to his old job - ****in circus clown.

This fight should of been done years ago. Fonfara is done. He's always been a decent fighter..not a bum but its been a few years and its not like he's gotten better.

I feel the same way. Same thing should had been done with Loma vs Salido rematch.

I'm amazed that so many fighters & promoters are using this type of silly angle to try to "build up" a fight, make a fight seem more competitive or whatever they are trying to do lately.

i think fonfara beats joe in a rematch fairly easy

I'd take that bet all day. Even if Fonfara beat him in a rematch I'm confident it wouldn't be easy. Fonfara was a couple minutes from losing to Dawson if not for his last round stoppage of him. Fonfara just isn't what he once was.

Don't mean he can't win or that he's not a good bet for the odds I last saw for him, but I don't love his chances vs any top guy let alone a guy who beat him already.

and lets also not forget that smith was wobbled when fonfara hit him. i'd favor fonfara making the adjustments in a rematch and eating him...

the same dawson that i saw in that fight would have made joe smith look just as foolish for rounds...dawson looked sharp af..i think everyone outside of the top 3 at lhw would have had lots of trouble with that version of dawson...he turned back the clock but fonfara finally found a way to clean his clock

Fonfara beats Smith in a rematch. He got caught with Smith's best punch in his life and Fonfara clearly underestimated him... I was pissed when I heard the fight made because no one knew who Smith was at the time. Watch the 1st round. Fonfara was rocking him until the deadly punch happened.
