It was the best option for Broner. "A" level fight against a smaller opponent, in a weight class really ought to stay at. Garcia, not so much, just should had stayed at 135.

Yea, but what's that say about broner if he loses to said smaller fighter? Broner likes to run with the narrative that "he's unbeaten 140 and below."

Mikey is taking a chance going against a guy who can outweigh him by about 15 lbs. on fight night.

I think the magnitude of the fight and the money involved, especially if theres a hefty penalty for coming in overweight, will see Broner knuckle down and make it this time. I hope he does coz i dont see this as a forgone conclusion if an in form Broner turns up, Mickey's been on his ass at lower weights (130 vs Martinez) and is untested above that weight in my opinion
