Oscar De La Hoya was able to walk down Shane Mosley. He took Sugar's power without getting knocked out. But De La Hoya was unable to walk down Felix Trinidad. He probably would have gotten knocked out if he tried to walk Tito down.

Do you guys realize how much of a devastating power puncher Trinidad was?

A prime Fernando Vargas was unable to walk down Trinidad, even though that was his gameplan. However, after getting knocked out by Trinidad, Vargas was able to was able to walk down De La Hoya and Mosley for most of their fights before getting stopped.

    Crazy.

Yes, Tito would knock the bad habit out of anyone with that left hook. He also had a solid right & body shots.

De La Hoya had and an iron chin and loved to trade, but he fought extra cautious against Tito. He boxed smart and frustrated Tito the first 7-8 rounds or so, but then he ran the last few rounds because he was gassed.

De La Hoya knew Trinidad was the only guy who could really hurt him at that point in his career, so he risked giving up the last few rounds to avoid taking any damage. That's what cost him that fight.

Illegal wraps, probably had plaster even if he wasnt caught with it.

Watching this guys fights I have never seen such unnatural power.

No, a lot of people are too young to understand the context of how good Trinidad was. I mean, he only lost to HOF fighters, and beat the snot out of every single person brave enough to trade with him. Others, unfortunately, may have other problems with him that I won't get into.

Everyone knows he was a huge puncher but it's nothing that hasn't been seen before.

I know all about Trinidad's punching power. He was my favorite fighter. He was left handed and his left hook was a fast bomb and one of the best punches in welterweight history. His straight right was also a very fast, hard and accurate punch.

I enjoyed watching that video. It's been a while since i've watched anyy Tito clips. I will have to go back and revisit some of his fights, as i used to love watching him.
