What's wrong with you guys saying it's a new excuse. The fact that he overtrained is a separate matter. He says he had an energy drop at the 5th. He still outboxed Ward and threw more punches in the 2nd half of the fight than the 1st, he beat and deserved the decision. It was maybe not his best performance, but it was better than Ward's dip & clinch. The robbery argument still stands.

I used to have alot of respect for Kovalev.

He is actually one of the last fighters who I would expect to be an excuse making loser.

Kovalev is an experienced boxer, who knew he was up against the best fighter he ever faced, but Im supposed to believe he changed his training habits and trained for a 6 round fight instead of a 12 round fight???
