thats exactly the type of golovkin fanboy attitude that excused golovkins duck of ward "well that guy aint relevant"

now..im not going to argue or get into whos more at fault for rigo/loma not taking place

but the bottom line is...as long as rigo is not retired and is winning...he will always be relevant because those in boxing know who he is and respect his skill level....

Why is Rigo even talking? We already have enough information about why this fight didn't happen and it's totally his fault.

Rigo kept making one excuse after another. First it was the weight, then it was the money, then the rehydration clause then he wanted a catchweight and it was one thing after another. Whereas Loma just wanted to sign the contract and fight. We have those articles on boxingscene where his manager at the time, Gary Hyde was the one negotiating.

So he missed his opportunity and now Loma's profile is so much greater than Rigo's, he also has a better resume, and yes he is the A-side and has no reason to even consider moving back to 126 to fight him.

If he wanted Loma, he should've accepted the contract last year.

This would be a great fight for the end of the year. Can't see it happening though.

Rigo is rubbish. He should retire. One world class win in an entire career.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz this fight is way past it's expiration date. They couldn't even come to a weight/money agreement when Loma was at 126. They ain't coming to one now.

Lol more like their managers going at it.

And they're 13lbs apart, that's like the distance from Earth to the next galaxy apparently. So this fight will never happen. I'm sure Rigo topped out at 122 at this age, and Loma will not meet him half way at 126. Great match on paper, but won't happen.

Going up and down the weight is not good for you especially if you are planning to move up again. If Loma beats rigo people will just say Rigo is too small and they would be right because he is. Rigo has a much smaller frame which means he will be at the disadvantage plus he is at the end of his career. People need to stop talking about this fight , it's not gonna happen.

I didn't like Lomas responses at all. Mainly because it seems like this fight will never happen smh.
