There are similarities, but what's so impressive about brawling your way inside to force a clinch? Then blame your opponent for clinching? What are you supposed to do if you are the opponent?

What is missed here is the inability to stand and trade without brawling, ie, box, throw punches, counter, move out, move in...

That's why Kovalev started getting beat up on the inside in the second half of the fight when he was too tired to clinch properly anymore.
Ya I mean - at least in the 1st fight - almost all clinching was done by Sergio.

However, many of the white supremacists on here can only watch the fight using Bible Belt eyeglasses...so they just see a half-black holding even if they're actually watching Modern Family (hint: no black people)

clinching is determined by who initiates it. it's not who participates in it.

if someone is intent on holding and hitting as ward is then you have to clamp down his arms. however ward is the one shooting doubles into the clinches.

u can see sergio grabbing ward's head to counter-clinch. but why are his arms grabbing sergio's legs in the first place?

Ward lowed his head to shoot into Sergei's mid-section to avoid getting hit and straight into the clinch so he can grab and hit.

sergio is not known for the clinch. ward is and that's what he does every fight.

The closer Kov vs Ward 2 gets the more anti-Ward threads we see. Seems people are getting a tad nervous

It was. Why do some say Ward is even a good inside fighter? Grabbing, holding, and pushing is inside work?
