Spence's inside fighting vs Brook was better then

any inside fighting Ward has ever done in his career. Don't even know why Ward get's credited for being a good inside fighter, all he does is headbutt, clinch and rabbit punch.

Spence on the other hand beat the crap out of that clinching mulatto and took his best defensive move away from him by punishing him.

Spence inside fighting is the answer to Ward's clinching, shame no one has it in Ward's division.

You mean it's the answer to Kovalev's clinching?

Anyone who watched the fight objectively can clearly see who was the one initiating the clinches to avoid an inside fight.

That's why Kovalev started getting beat up on the inside in the second half of the fight when he was too tired to clinch properly anymore.

Ah, so thats why Ward dived on and grabbed Kovalev's legs in the second and third round, because he was trying to defend himself from his clinch......I get it now.

i don't think thats right....spence is a arguable number 1 in the entire sport for inside fighting. better then golovkin. kovalov, ward, them all. shawn porter is pretty good at it but unlike spence he smothers his own work way too much.

He was hurt, that is the one time you're actually legally allowed to clinch dumb dumb.

Kovalev did the same thing to Ward for the majority of the fight that Mayweather did to Pacquiao, for the exact same reasons, to avoid trading on the inside.

But Mayweather is evil for doing it and it's okay to pretend Kovalev didn't do it (at a MUCH higher rate than Mayweather did).

Whilst I disagree with your assessment of Kovalev clinching Ward the entire fight, even if he did, it's not a long term habit. Ward and Floyd have made a career out of clinching, if only there was a Spence up there to **** Ward's down syndrome face up and punish him for clinching.

The amount of clinching Mayweather did vs Pacquiao is so overstated. I counted about 20 clinches at most. That's less than 1 per round. He did much more vs Maidana

Ward follows the blueprint of Mayweather and before that Hopkins.

Nobody liked to watch Hopkins fight for that reason then near the end of his career he successfully brainwashed everyone into believing that is an actual set of skills to throw a right straight and hug to smother activity from your opponent.

Mayweather followed it up with more brainwashing.

by the time it got to Ward, we have the most skilled fighter of all time right? people are catching up now and realized this is just straight up fouling and buffoonery.

this is not a skill of boxing. it's a skill of roman greco. it can only be fought on home soil too so the ref will let you break the rules over and over again.
