Jackson has something like this before, to work an opposite corner, with hopkins v kov.

Must be difficult though, kov says himself that he's a difficult guy to tell what to do, plus language barrier.

Not putting too much down to race, feels like wards side wants to, but hey, if kov and his mgt was so racist, Jackson would have never been in the picture from day 1.

Whoa thats ****ed up. They might as well go separate ways

I wonder if Kovalev has known about this. I mean I dont understand how one can work with someone who tried to join the enemy. Jackson clearly doesnt have Kov's best interest.

But then you can tell Kovalev is not the easiest guy to work with.

Very interesting. Sure Kovalev doesn't bend the knee to anyone but I never suspected him to be this..well Russian.

With all this rediculous Russian hysteria being pushed by the media does anyone think this may be a ploy to desperately make this a profitable PPV? Or quite possibly our news media has created such a stir that Kovalev may have receded back into a Russian nationalist type sentiment where its us against them (further surrounding himself with loyal comrads)?

As far as Kovalevs racist comments it's just a Russian thing. Everywhere else in the world races bust each others balls. In America we're taught not to do that.

If this is true ,it says alot more about how kovalev is a bigger man than Jackson. How are you going to try to jump ship on your fighter and go over to the enemy's side like a two faced hoe? If he doesn't like working with kovalev, that's fine,he can go and find any other fighter to train, but to attempt to go over to wards side for the rematch? That's some really sleazy ****.

Why are these two even still working together? We've known about this tension for a very long time, surely Kovalev could have replaced him with a Russian coach by now if that's what he wants.

If true, this was a really shitty move by Jackson. Leaving the fighter is one thing, but actively trying to join the opposing side in a rematch? That's unforgivable.

Definitely has a whif of using Russia v America political landscape to try and make this fight be about more than just 2 boxers, and they've just thrown jdj under the bus, because this should have been confidential low key stuff, they have no respect either, for the guy to out him like this.

Prince says people are treated right on his team, yeah right, this doesn't indicate that at all. Slimy all round, you don't try and join the opposite camp, but I bet these approaches happen a lot when a trainer has already left the previous fighter (or been sacked by a fighter who scape goats them), they clearly then have their highest value to the opposite team, and are out of a job, but I imagine those conversations don't get leaked as much.

This is bad for Kova on several levels.

First and foremost, you don't jump ship if the boat is enroute to Winnerville.

You stay, keep your mouth shut, and get paid...THEN you leave.

But, to name a price in order to jump ship???

That means you know there is a good chance your guy is not going to do too well, or is not long for the game either way...and with all these trainers, the cut is smaller.

And BTW, JDJ is no fool- he had to know it would get out and DGAF anyway.

                    This is bad news...
