Good list. I'd drop Porter and add Russell.

I wouldn't include Ward in any list until he actually beats a world class fighter clean. In my eyes and the eyes of most, not only did he lose to Kovalev, he ran scared and does not have a world class win for 5+ years.

Gervonta Davis is talented but yet to beat a truly top class fighter and from what Mayweather is saying, that will NOT be any time soon.

DG has stagnated and if he is the 8th best fighter from the US then that's real sad.

I really only think there are 3 or 4 genuine world class American fighters:

              Mikey Garcia
              Terence Crawford
              Thurman
              Possibly Spence
              Possibly Jermall Charlo

Oh and how did you pick LSC? The guy is Mexican, brn there, raised there and he can barely even speak English lol

Last Fight: February 5, 2022, win against Keenan Carbajal. Official biography, fight record, and exclusive photos of professional Mexican-American boxer Leo Santa Cruz. Access fight highlights, the latest news, revealing videos, and upcoming fight schedule for Leo Santa Cruz, right here on PBC.

"While most of his family was born in Mexico, Leo Santa Cruz was born and raised in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles."

He was born and raised in America, so he's american.

                As for the rest:

i thought ward lost the fight with kov as well, but it was close. kov definitely slowed down the second half of the fight, and that cost it for him. hopefully we get a more clear result in the rematch.

Danny lost a pretty close but clear decision to keith, there is no shame in that. he still has one of the best resumes out there and should still be considered among the best americans right now, same with porter.

gervonta davis is still largely unproven, i admittedly added him on the list mostly based on how he's looked thus far. looks very talented and skilled but still needs to prove it against better comp. i wouldnt have a problem with him not being included just yet

No, he wasnt born in America. He was born in Huetamo, Michoacán de Ocampo, Mexico.

Btw I get your list now, a fighter doesn't necessarily have to be world level to be a top 10 American fighter. I mean that I do not believe there are 10 out and out world level or world proven American fighters. That's all I'm saying.
