We have a fight that would have been exciting and toe to toe with a lot of punches thrown vs a boring clinch filled snore fest that put a lot of people off Hatton. Not difficult to understand.

Hatton took on a tough, strong natural juniour middle, looked less then spectacular but grabbed a belt. He got the job done and who knows it could make more people want to fight him. It's a blessing in disguise. He also got a leg up on Floyd with possible negotiations with the new belt he got from Collazo.

The bottom line is that the point of his last fight on US soil was to try and sell himself to US fans. In the end he ended up alienataing a lot of American fans with a clinch filled snoozer of a fight.

A fight with Augustus would have been exciting toe to toe action, and would have thrilled a lot of casual fans who haven't seen him before.
