WHY are they always robbing agustus

i dont get it he's a good fighter when he wants to be but it seems like when he actually tries to fight he gets robbed. like vs. ward and burton.

The Name EMANUEL AUGUSTUS should mean robbery. This guy gets robbed all the time. he gets robbed more then a bank in the old western movies.

The reason he gets robbed is because of his Showing off. Hes also been DQed because he shows off all the time.

Why Augustus isnt allowed to fight the way he wants to is annoying. Hes amazing to watch and an amazing fighter. Its rediculous what Augustus has gone through and his career is a testament to what is wrong with boxing.

It's funny how people like to act like this guy is world class. First off, he steps up and fights ANY top 10 comp. at 140 or 147 and he gets his ass schooled from pillar to post. He's got a nice style, but he's far from being even a 'good' fighter. He does that ****** showboating that keeps the fight close and it's his own fault. Stop making excuses for him everyone. Thanks.

He gets robbed a lot, but Ward vs. Burton was definately not a robbery. I personally think that Ward won the fight. If you have it the other way around then fine, it was a close fight, but you can't call that a robbery by any stretch of the imagination. Augustus versus Courtney Burton is an example of an actual robbery.

he could be a top 40 or 50 guy if they gave him a chance and stopped robbing him.

at this point i just hope something falls into place where augustus can take a fight and get a good 100+ thousand dollar purse so at the very least he and his family can be taken care of monetarily. he's suffered enough in his career to get a good payday before he hangs the gloves up.

I think some are turned off by his "antics" and it shows come decision time but I hope that he gets his break soon, I don't mind ppl talking and giving him love. If Gatti and Ward can have Iconic status then what's wrong with Augustus getting the same, true he does bring on some of it but even Atlas who always is looking out for the sport feels Augustus gets unfairly robbed.
