Spence doesn't need to move up. 147 is one of the best divisions in boxing, at least on paper. There are lots of names for Spence to fight and prove himself against. A guy Adrien Broner beat is ranked in the top five at 140, it's a bad division. Crawford needs to move up and fight the best at 147 instead of wasting more of his prime unifying a bad division.

I'm pretty sure the plan is to have Bud face Indongo to unify ..then move up immediately.

After Indongo, there is nothing left for legacy reasons and Bud is big enough to make the jump.

Why the sudden infatuation with Spence? When Crawford been clowning dudes for 2+ years and never has even had a close fight go late rounds before pulling it out.

Is it the HBO thing or the Arum thing? I don't get it....
            Crawford don't want that heat.

I actually see that as a 50/50 fight. I will root for Spence since he is one of my top 5. I could definitely see him losing to someone as versatile as Thurman.

I don't wanna hear anything about Crawfird not fighting anyone, people were all over Postal **** saying he was gonna beat Bud and it would be a tough fight. Then Diaz was supposed to be his toughest test and he schools the gold medal winner and the dude never has a moment in the fight.

spence was in a tough fight until a freak injury happened to Brook and he had to quit. I didn't think he was that impressive through the first 6-7 rounds at all. He's a good fighter obviously but I think people are getting carried away.

And WW is not even that good a division. Garcia can't beat any of the top 3-4... Porter can't beat the top 3 and Brook seems to be done with these eye injuries. Spence and Thurman are the whole division.

                      That's 2 x 135 pounders and 2x140 pounders.

None of them are actually world champion at their weight class

And beside Spence who is a legit big welterweight, and Brook who is shot, you have:

Pacquiao, Porter, Bradley, Broner, Thurman, Garcia. Theses are all small welterweights or jr welterweight going to welterweight to avoid weight cutting. Welterweight seems like a division for overblown jr welterweights imo.

Idongo, Postol and Crawford, the top 3 at 140 are all bigger than all theses top welterweight super ultimate athletes.
