Stop making excuses. He quit.
What is that supposed to mean? GGG has beaten all the best and relevant contenders in his division. Every. Single. One.
the only name left was BJS but GGG is instead fighting Canelo, the so called lineal champ and a far superior fighter to BJS so again, what do you mean?
You've decided not to believe someone who has sustained a serious injury symptoms.
Tbh, I'd believe him. Not because I'm a fan alone but also because I am not a twat.
If you want to criticise someone for quitting find out about the injury first.
You are a pure keyboard warrior if so.
Or you've suffered Kell's injury?
You can only judge someone on what you might do, imo. You can hold fighters to a higher level but I am not sure that fits because it's all instinct even for them.
I am not comfortable criticising anyone for quitting on an bad injury.
Perforated eardrums, broken hands, broken ribs aren't enough by themselves in my opinion but there are a multitude of injuries that are.
And yeah fighters have carried on with similar injuries. Is that normal? Of course it isn't. Some of these fighters are literally willing to die in that ring.
Those are the fighters that will battle through horrific injury.Last edited by Sparked_26; 05-31-2017, 08:26 AM.

You'd have to be a real prick not to understand any of that and that is exactly what soul survivor comes across as.... a real prick.

Brook gave us a damn good fight until the injury and for few rounds after, not sure we have the right to ask him to risk his vision further.

I never want to see a fighter come out of a fight and not physically be the same if it can be avoided.

People become really detached from these fighters and put them on a real pedestal. Like you say they are just men. And as such you have to show them empathy.
As Ricky Hatton used to say: It's not tiddlywinks.
People criticised that Chudinov stoppage at the weekend so they're on a different planet to the rest of us.

Now, I don't see anyone arguing that Brook did not quit, just people making excuses for Brook quitting. So I assume you all believe Brook quit but you're ok with that.
I'm fine with you're way of thinking but I don't think like that. People don't just quit in life, a doctor can't just quit one day because he has had an 18 hour shift and walks out of the middle of an operation and says "I'm leaving, I don't care what happens to the patient, I'm taking my pay check and coming back after an 8 month break."
Fighter have that luxury, that is why they get ccriticised. Brook got paid millions to quit, he will not take months and months out of the sport and come back claiming he is 2better than ever" and get paid millions again.
Stop making excuses for pathetic losers like that.
