he quit that's the thing , he can say hey I wasn't knocked out I just couldn't see so had to stop the fight its the easy way out , sugar ray leonards eye was shut vs hearns badly he could have quit with the same excuse but no great fighters give it there all and don't make excuses.

It looked more like he was looking for the easier way out to me. A KO would have been harder to swallow than using an Injury as an out. Just my opinion though.

Yep I totally agree with you here, the eye was the perfect excuse. He was blinking intentionally because he wanted a way out, he was getting destroyed to the body and he was going to get laid out. He didn't want that in front of his own fans, so he kinda quit... I don't like to question boxers heart but a lot of boxers would rather have gone out on their backs, than quit the way he did. When you look at his resume and see the fights he has had you can tell he wouldn't dig deeper if he face any sort of adversity.
