Comments Thread For: Spence: I Knew Kell Brook Would Break Down If I Pressed Him

Errol Spence Jr. was the one that lacked experience in the championship rounds. Spence had boxed beyond the sixth round just three times in his first 21 professional fights and hadn't competed in more than a 10-round fight before his IBF welterweight championship match against Kell Brook on Saturday night in Sheffield, England. The strong southpaw also hadn't fought anyone as good as Gennady Golovkin or Shawn Porter the top two opponent on Brook's record.

Even after 6 then Spence began to streak ahead. Brook was gallant but he was outclassed by a superior boxer.

I actually heard British commentators saying that Spence was behind? WTF? Brook won some rounds, but he was clearly losing going into the stoppage.

You don't know **** about boxing!

Brook didn't clearly win anything. The first 6 rounds were close and competitive. That's why he faded late.

I gave Brook 2, maybe 3 rounds. He was missing a lot of shots that would get the crowd excited.

Once he shortened his shots to the body it was all she wrote. It might have been the 5th or 6th round Spence beat Brook up for like 2 minutes then ****ed it up at the end of the round. I could see him banking those body shots early and often.

I've watched the fight 3 times already, and it was a body shot in the 4th round by Spence,I think is what started Kell's downfall cause after that Spence started getting closer Brook started moving less and Brook started taking more shots

I had it even by the 8th round. Then Spence won the remainder of rounds.

Brook was fading down the stretch and then had his eye injury. The body shots of course helped to exhaust him.
