I was gonna be wrong, I guessed Spence by wide decision but i'm glad to have been surprised like this.

brook wasn't gonna go out in 4 rounds. no way. thats not giving enough credit to brook for the fighter he is honestly.

brook knows how to hold hold hold survive and latch on to opponents thats of similar size. he also has fast powerful hands......the holding, speed, and power stopped porter in his tracks who's a world class welterweight.

Really happy for Spence too. Glad to see him win his first world title. He said in the post fight interview that he wants the big names like Pac and Thurman to unify.

He was tested today as well, Brook didn't just come to lay down.

I predicted Spence by TKO in the 10th, I was off by one.

Feels good to see something in a fighter in their early development, and see them pan out. Spence's patience and dedication to attacking the body were the two attributes that stood out to me from him early on.

              Great win for him tonight.

That body work was sick and constant, plus Brook didn't win on the inside he grabbed on but Spence was making things happen from the clinch.

That is how you do if a guy tries to grapple shorten up your shots, go to the body, push with the forearm a bit. Don't sit there thinking the situation is hopeless not doing a thing about it.

I think Welterweight is disgustingly overrated. Its as if people haven't realised that Mayweather has gone, and Pacquiao is cashing out.

Thurman and Spence are good, but I think we need to re-evaluate the division
                  ^^

                  Good point.

He gave himself a B-. I honestly thought he fought nervous as hell at the start lol. Kept overreaching with his jab and getting countered. He settled in and the SHORT SHOTS TO THE BODY is what won him this bout.

It seemed at one point that Kell was sharper but Errol put it on him and from the 7th after Brook got the injury Spence absolutely broke his heart and Brook with his eyes needs to think about retiring unless he is in there with Khan who himself doesn't sound right. Both these lads seem like battle-worn veterans now even if they are only early 30's.

Him and Thurman will be interesting.

Spence is world class and cong**** to all the Americans who have been high on him for ages - he's not let you down because if there was a weakness there he would have folded tonight.
I kept saying he is a body puncher in the lineage of Mike McCallum. Brook slowed down because every single time they clinched he threw short shots to the body. A man can only take so much. It sucks the soul out of you.
