Fight ended the exact same way I predicted due to how Kell Brook's eyes looked at the final press conference.
Spence was getting outboxed throughout the fight and he didn't show me a lot of special things other than his ability to take a punch and his determination, but skillwise he's a B+ level fighter on his best day, he just has durability, stamina and power at 147 lbs, his defense isn't up to par, his ring IQ isn't up to par and his outside fighting game is not up to par with his other attributes. I wouldn't be surprised if he got outboxed by Keith Thurman.
If Floyd was a couple of inches taller and wasn't a natural lightweight I would've picked him to beat Errol Spence right now at the age of 40. But cong**** to Errol he showed a lot of heart and grit tonight and he didn't mentally shut down when he was getting outboxed and tagged repeatedly against a veteran in his hometown.
Kell should retire as soon as he can to prevent further damage to his eyes. Eye injuries are not to be played with. I just have one question, they said the fight against GGG was stopped due to an injury to the right eye, but in this fight it got stopped due to an injury to the left eye. does he have 2 screwed up eyes now or wasn't he really injured against GGG?Comment

I'm kind of aligned with this. Spence lookedlike he didn't quite know how to manage Brook over the first 6, all 6 rounds were sloppy as hell and could have been scored either way imo, although Brook seemed to be the one controlling the fight more and Spence not seeming to know how to handle the tying up etc.
Then Brook visibly slowed in the 7th and his defence went awol, from then it was open target practice for Spence and Brook never really got a second wind, so just a case of Spence teeing off with clean shots.
What heart from Brook though...he had nothing left after the 8th but kept going even though Spence could smell blood and was landing more and more clean shots.
Overall, completely predictable that the weight beat Brook more than Spence did, and to be honest, a little disappointed in Spence- he didn't look as good as I thought he was. He couldn't work out Brook's throwing and falling in during the early rounds and how to get his feet right for clean counters.
I nagged on and on pre-fight that Brook was done at 147, and this proves it - if he can only go 6 rounds at the weight he's not going to beat anyone (except Khan). Good win for Spence, but he's got a lot to prove still after that performance.Comment

Cong**** Spence. How Kell survived Round 10 I don't know, best round of the fight for sure. Hopefully we get the Thurman Spence fight next, the winner will be no.1 in the welterweight division. I don't know if it was the same Eye that Golovkin damaged, but they should of never taken that fight. The damage golovkin did to him has ruined his eye, it will be a permanent reccuring issue in future fights, just like it was with Margarito and Matthyse. Kind of disappointed in the trajectory of his career since he won the belt. Hearn partly to blame for not delivering the right big fights at the right time.Comment

Credit to Brook for finally fighting his 2nd decent fighter in Spence. As for Spence, he did a great job on Brook. I think he got hit a lot more than he probably expected. But he's till early in his career. He will just keep on improving.
Brook should step up a weight. Stop the ****** weight-cutting.Comment
