Good fighter had a shocker every time against quality opposition except against Linares which he still lost.

Still can't believe he managed to lose to Katsidis.

                  big drama show

When Cotto beat Mosley back in 2007, right before the fight everyone was saying Cotto was going to lose, Mosley was going to knock Cotto out, etc...

When Mosley knocked out Margarito, people were saying Floyd was scared to fight Mosley. Then Mayweather fought Mosley and got a scare when Mosley almost knocked Mayweather out.

This was a major step up for Cotto in 2007 and he won.

The first Margarito fight was questionable for obvious reasons. What we saw in the second Margarito fight is what we would have saw in the first one had the playing field been level.

Martinez was a step up, but I'm not really going to count this one. Being as Martinez wasn't himself or 100%

But Cotto did step up and take the challenge. Martinez was calling out Mayweather and Pacquiao back then, even saying he would fight them at 150, but neither Pac or May stepped up to fight Martinez. Cotto did, even though at the time we didn't know the extent of Martinez injuries. But he still stepped up when others wouldn't.

Lol, but anyway point is Cotto won some big fights, he won some step up fights. Not all of them but he won some of them.

Don't know why these peeps keep mentioning Matthysse.
He already lost to Alexander and Judah when he fought Garcia.
It's not even like the Gift won by KO or dominated the Argentinian.
The Puerto Rican was in survival mode and peed blood in that fight.
