You dunno that cause you dunno how Spence will react once Thurman lands the first shot. He might become reluctant to throw just like Garcia was after Thurman came out guns blazing in the first 2 rounds.

I have to laugh at the couch potatoes who dismiss Bundu's assessment of two fighters who he fought. As though he has some sort of agenda to favor one over the other. Same when Darnell Boone suggested GGG would defeat both Kovalev and Ward. Boone fought them both and was a sparring partner of GGG. Man was in the ring with all of them, but his assessment is somehow less credible than the armchair keyboard warrior.

Both Spence and Thurman are very similar when it comes to styles, height, power and boxing ability. The only difference I see is, even though they are both pretty much midrange fighters, however one is more effective at cutting off the ring and fighting well on the inside. While the other is more effective at fighting on the outside.

I will have to disagree with Bundu here. I will have to favor Spence in this match up.

They actually couldn't be more different. Nobody likes to get hit, but Spence seems like the type of guy who is willing to take a punch to land 3. Thurman is the type, especially as his level of comp has risen, that is cool with outboxing you, if he can't hurt you and get you out of there.

I actually put stock into what bundu is saying here. Keith may have more 1 shot KO ability, but Spences style is more conducive to stoppages, because he's more relentless. You know when you fight him, you have a tough 12 rounds, whereas Thurman is simply more content to pile up the points.

I do agree though, I favor Spence slightly when he and One Time meet.

What I think you are saying is that Spence is the more flat-footed of the two which is very true. However, he does fight off the back foot but he does that in order to create enough space for his right hooks and jabs. Unlike Thurman who fights off the back foot to avoid getting hit and not to engage. However, I am in agreement with what you are saying though.

This fight will happen, but it will take some time.

I actually think Collazo would be a good first defense fight for Spence.
