Is Boxing on Netflix a possibility?

It would be cool if it does happen in the near future.

    Yes huge possibility..

Netflix is in the content business, they are always looking for niche content and boxing fits the bill.

Netflix has just signed up pro wrestling Lucha libre, so they obviously would take a boxing series..

I can see arum taking business to Netflix since he is kinda getting froze out now as pbc has showtime and golden boy has hbo...

For sure boxing will be on some sorta streaming platform like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, FB or Twitter or other players. I wouldn't be surprised if we see boxing deals being made between multiple streaming platforms & different promoters in the near future.

Any sports on Netflix is a ****** idea. The reason sports command so much money from networks is because people watch them live. Netflix isn't designed to be watched at a set time. It's to designed to be watched at your leisure.

Twitter is a better way to go. You have tens of millions of people on there at one time and if a topic start[s trending people will check out the trending topic and tune it. You're capturing a wider audience of people who would never had known there was a fight if not for the topic trending. On netflix you're only capturing the people who specifically logged in to watch the fight. Most people only log into netflix when they're looking for a show to watch. You won't catch a lot of stragglers just so happening to tune in.

Netflix has already stated they aren't opposed to streaming live sports they just need the right situation.

The main thing is that market is about to be in full blown war with broadcast networks & other streaming networks for all content including live sports & if they don't eventually get into live sports its extremely probable they will be one of the casualties in that space at some future date cuz EVERYONE is going to be doing what Netflix is doing now.

Netflix is no longer a unique product with having content to be watched at your leisure. You are gonna need live programming including sports very soon as that space gets more & more competitive.

                  Dude, it's a streaming service..

Just like the wwe network, they will show live shows and then be added to their library

Of course Netflix is going to add live sports one day, it's one of the biggest entertainment companies/platforms in the world, and it would be a nail in the coffin for their competitor cable
