I think Spence is going to be top dog at 147 for sure, but he's not the next Mayweather, Leonard, Hearns, Duran or anyone else. I don't see his style being more like any of the others, he's just going to be Spence.
Maybe it refers to the next guy at 147 to go on a long unbeaten run, but Mayweather did a lot of that work at lower weights, and Spence for sure will go up in weight at some point as he's young and big.
I hope he puts the comparisons where they belong and just focuses on upping his game in whatever way maximises his own potential.

Spence doesn't have to be the next Mayweather. He said himself, if he maintains his focus like Mayweather he should have success. The biggest issue Spence will face is distractions. He has skills and the maturity to go far but it will all be for nothing if he can't stay focus. Saturday will be his biggest test to see if he can stay focus. Especially, going to someone's backyard to try and beat him. The British will not be welcoming so he will be facing wore than just Brook in the ring.

This cat can't even make it a goal to be great in his own right. Rather, he hangs on Floyd's nuts. How the hell do you open your mouth and say you'll be the next Floyd Mayweather? If anything, Spence should say he's going to be the baddest mofo since Mayweather. Get your own identity man!

Spence gets it. I think Errol's mind is his strongest asset. It's rare that you see a guy as hungry and focused as he is.Which is great when you can get out the game with your health and money. But Floyd was getting paid a minimum of $32 mil a fight and still trained hard and took nothing for granted. You cannot cherry pick your way to 49-0! You cannot cherry pick your way to only losing on 1 scorecard your whole career. Anything can happen in the ring with a blink of an eye. Instead of people complaining about fighters trying to be the A-side like Floyd people should be telling fighters to do what Floyd did to become and stay the A-side.

That's a b!tch move, but I'm not surprised. You are one of the biggest Floyd ****riders on this forum. In fact, if I check all your post history I bet there isn't one post on there where you aren't sucking his sweaty balls or dissing Manny.

you're also underrating what mayweather was able to accomplish at the age of 21.
as far as brook being "more dangerous," we haven't seen it, and won't know until after saturday. brook is a big ww, but he's smaller than spence, hernandez was definitely bigger than floyd, and was a lineal champ while brook holds is a belt-holder. as far as the youth advantage floyd had, many other people called it inexperience, which is why fewer people thought he'd beat hernandez, than people who think errol beats brook.
