Ummm Amanda Serrano made PR history and world history as she has won 5 divisions!
So Miguel is even irrelevant at this point of time....

Amanda Serrano made women's boxing history on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Fighting on the Shawn Porter-Andre Berto undercard, Serrano dominated Dahiana Santana en route to an eighth-round knockout victory to win a vacant women's bantamweight belt to become the first female fighter in boxing history to win world titles in five weight divisions.

Serrano, 28, a Puerto Rican from Brooklyn, has won world titles at bantamweight, junior featherweight, featherweight, junior lightweight and lightweight. She won her titles in an unconventional manner to boot. Rather than rise in weight to win one title after another, she has gone down in weight to capture her belts.

When you could have your last fight any day now I think you take serious fights or just stay retired as I've more or less have considered Cotto at this point.

Yeah I disagree. Cotto has fought everyone already. Is about to be 37 years old soon, coming off a loss, coming off a 21 month layoff.

I have no problem with the choice of opponent in this case.

What I do have a problem with is this fight being for a World title. Considering the opponent, this should not be a world title fight.

But other than that I'm good.

What justification is there for ranking him #1? What justification is there for ranking his opponent #5? What justification is there for allowing #1 to face #5 for the vacant title when there are available fighters ranked higher than #5?

Obviously the only thing the WBO cares about is the money, but they don't even have plausible deniability on this one.

That's mostly true...but he only goes into survival mode if he can't hurt his guy and his guy has already hurt him.

Does anyone take the WBO seriously?

As for Cotto going 3-3 in his last 6 fights...that's happened to a lot of great fighters at the end of their career. Ali was 3-3 in his last 6, SRL was 3-2-1 (though it really should have been 3-3). Each of these guys has at least one embarrassing loss in the last six too. They are all greats.

According to ESPN Cotto is signing a multi fight deal with Golden Boy. Which makes sense he will fight Kamagai and then at least 1 more fight in Dec on HBO promoted by Golden Boy.

Don't like this fight at all, very curious to know how HBO agreed for this thing.
